Job Description: 

  • Architecting and installing Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM)
  • Reviewing existing methods and developing replacements using SCCM for:
    • Developing detailed documentation, including required network ports and workflows
    • Operating System patching
      • Windows 7 and above
      • Red Hat Linux
    • 3rd party application patching
      • Java
      • Adobe
    • Asset Inventory and Reporting
      • Hardware
      • Software
      • Licensing Compliance
      • Security Best Practices
    • System health monitoring dashboards, reports, and alerts
      • To augment, but not replace, functionality in SolarWinds or Logrhythm
      • Hardware errors or alerts
    • Application Deployment for new installations and upgrades
      • Symantec Antivirus
      • LogRhythm Agent
      • SolarWinds Agent
      • InsightVM Agent
      • MS Office
    • SCCM System Center Application deployment

Additional Details: 

  • Designing a multi-site SCCM solution for the network, taking into account the physical and logical sites and multiple low-bandwidth physical sites
  • Exploring OS Imaging and Deployment with SCCM
  • Exploring compliance and settings management (i.e. Unauthorized software)
  • Consulting on other SCCM features that could benefit the organization
  • Working with a team to implement SCCM Servers and deploy agents on servers and workstations
  • Developing and implementing organization and role-based access permissions for SCCM administration
  • Implementing OS patching for all Oss and documenting the procedure for recurring maintenance (working toward a low-touch automated solution where possible)
  • Implementing and documenting designed solutions for:
  • Asset Inventory and Reporting
  • Application Deployment
  • System Health Monitoring and Alerts
  • Architecting an SCCM environment to serve secured critical infrastructure environment
  • Developing and documenting ongoing procedures for handoff of SCCM administration duties to internal SME
     

This on-site position requires someone who offers:

  • 4yrs+ experience as SCCM Deployment / Architect / Implementation consultant
  • Experience with Linux and Windows OS
  • Microsoft SCCM Certification (Desired – not Required)
  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work on-site full-time (local resource strongly preferred)
  • Experience with OS system patching
  • Asset Inventory and Reporting
  • Creating system health monitoring dashboards, reports, and alerts
